An intimate letter-based novel in which a fifty-year-old writer not only dissects the impending end of his complex relationship with a much younger call girl, but also slowly, painfully and hesitatingly  reveals that he was the victim of a violent sexual trauma in his youth. In seven letters to his call girl, the writer sacrifices his soul and his salvation to the only thing that makes human life worth living: unattainable love.
